Jim Lawson Maduike is a veteran Nigerian actor, writer, filmmaker, radio broadcaster, voice-over artist, and television personality. He was born on the 25th of December (Year of birth unknown) and hails from Umunwolave, a small village in Guamo Obire in Nkwere Local Government Area, Imo State, Nigeria.
Career
Before delving into acting, Jim Lawson Maduike was a radio presenter for over twenty-one years. In 1980 he worked with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), after fourteen years with FRCN, he resigned in 1994 to join Ray Power FM, and in 1999, he moved on from Ray Power FM to join MINAJ FM.
In 2004 he left the radio presenting job to join the Nigerian movie industry. He has since featured in over 150 Nollywood movies and is known by many for his role as a traditional leader. His mastery and delivery on the job earned him some accolades as he was nominated as the Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, and Most Prominent Actor in Nigeria at the Best of Nollywood Awards.
Death
Jim Lawson Maduike died on the 9th of January, 2021, a few hours after complaining of body pains.
