Princess Damilola Adekoya who is professionally known as Comedian Princess is a Nigerian comedienne and actress.

She was born on the 8th of May and hails from Ogun State, Nigeria.

Education

Comedian Princess had her Secondary School education at Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, (OLASS) in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

On completion of her secondary school, she enrolled in Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State. After relocating to Lagos, she secured admission at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where she obtained a degree.

Career

Princess made her Nollywood debut at the age of 6 in the movie “Half Human, Half Animal“.

The movie gave her some level of exposure and in 2001, she got connected to actor and filmmaker, Kayode Peter and they both got along and were involved in several movie roles which led to her spotlight entrance.

Princess became a household name in the comedy and movie industry after appearing in several comedy-drama series and movies.

She has appeared in movies like Armageddon, Mama and Private Lies, and Black Sheep and has also starred in series like Flat Mates, Papa Ajasco, and Super Story.

Princess Comedian is also a stand-up comedian. She has performed across different stages within and outside Nigeria. Princess capitalized on the popularity of Instagram and starting expanding her fanbase by making and sharing comedy videos on her Instagram.

Personal Life

On the 8th of May, 2013, Princess got married to Adeshola Jeremiah at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos. It was followed by a lavish ceremony held at Balmoral Events Centre, Oregun, Lagos.



The marriage however ended a few months later.

Controversy

In April 2021, Princess took to Instagram to accuse Baba Ijesha of raping her foster daughter seven years ago when she was just seven years old.

Princess stated that her daughter couldn’t open up about the issue up until now, in 2021. In order to obtain tangible evidence against Baba Ijesha, Princess tried to re-enact the situation and planted a CCTV camera in her house at strategic positions, and left her daughter alone with Baba Ijesha. She told him that she would be gone for long and he should wait for her at home. Once again, as the video shows, Baba Ijesha made advances at the girl.

Baba Ijesha was arrested by the police and the matter caught the attention of celebrities like Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Johnson, Tonto Dike, Tunde Ednut, Yomi Fabiyi who spoke out against the Baba Ijesha and ensured that he got arrested.
