Education

In 2003, she enrolled in Spelman College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2007. During her time at Spelman College, she was a member of the Student Government Association and was the Secretary of Academic Affairs. She was Miss Maroon & White from 2006 to 2007.

She attended Georgetown University from 2008 to 2010 where she bagged International Business Diplomacy (IBD) Honors Certificate.

From 2018 to 2020, she bagged a Masters Degree in Advanced Global Leadership, Organizational Leadership organized by the World Economic Forum’s Global Leadership Fellows Program (GLF).

Career

She is a strategist and international development leader involved in the Women In Africa (WIA) initiative.

Eniola Mafe’s career kicked off in 2004 when she was a Summer Analyst with Merrill Lynch from 2004 to August 2006, she later became a full-time Analyst for Merrill Lynch. 

She had a 3 months internship (June 2009 to August 2009) at Mecene Investments where she worked as a Consultant (Social Impact). From September 2009 to February 2010, she worked at Vital Voices as ABWN (Africa Businesswomen’s Network) consultant, there she orchestrated semi-annual leadership meetings and a workshop on access to finance in Africa, conducted research on access to finance for women in Africa, and developed an Investor’s Circle of women leaders committed to champion the cause of access to finance on behalf of the Vital Voices-ABWN.

From October 2010 to July 2013, she was the full-time Program Manager (Africa) for Vital Voices Global Partnership. And from July 2013 to November 2016, she was the Program Manager for Niger Delta Partnership Initiative Foundation. In January 2018, she co-founded Securefarmer, a social enterprise that develops the next generation of farmers through precision data, mechanization, and technology.

She was the project leader for the Internet For All and Digital Inclusion at the World Economic Forum. In 2018 she was named among Okay Africa’s 100 Women In Africa, she was also named one of the 99 most influential foreign policy leaders under the age of 33, or the “99 Under 33,” by Diplomatic Courier and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy in 2011.

Eniola Mafe was also listed as one of the 13 Young Africans Business/Economic Leaders to Watch in 2013 by Ventures Africa Magazine.

She has worked at the Women’s World Banking Ghana in Accra, also worked in Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City, and has also worked with the government of Botswana.

She is engaged to one of Nigeria’s biggest rappers, Jude Lemfani Abaga who is professionally known as M.I Abaga.

They got engaged in April 2022 and have announced that they will be getting married this year, 2022.
