Obi Iyiegbu who is popularly known as Obi Cubana is a Nigerian Businessman, philanthropist, entertainer, and king of nightlife.
He was born on the 12th of April, 1975, and hails from Oba, a community in Demili-South Local Government Area in Anambra State, Nigeria.
The hospitality industry mogul is the fourth child and last son of his parents, he is the chairman and owner of Cubana Groups.
Education
Obi Cubana had his primary education at Central Primary School where he got his First School Leaving Certificate. For his secondary education, he enrolled at Dennis Memorial Grammer School in Onitsha where he got his West Africa Senior School Certificate (WAEC) in 1998.
On completion of his secondary school education, he secured admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Career/Business
Obi Cubana launched his first club, Ibiza Club in Abuja in the year 2006, a club that was made to meet the desires of nightlifers. As a result of the success of the Ibiza Club, in 2009 Obi Cubana went ahead to establish the Cubana Group, a hospitable brand. When Obi Cubana launched Cubana Abuja, he booked the Mohits Crew who came and performed at the venue. Today Cubana group has grown so big and the nightclubs are constantly being visited by high profile people in the society, celebrities including Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, even Grammy Award-winning American singer, Cardi B also visited the Cubana club in Lagos when she came to Nigeria.

Ebele Iyiegbu is a lawyer, she is also the founder of KIEK foundation, an organization whose vision/goal is improving the lives of the less privileged children in the society through quality education, child’s right governance, healthcare, and nutrition.

Obi Cubana organized one of the most-talked-about funerals in Nigeria for his mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu, due to the caliber of men that graced the occasion and the quality of gifts he received during the funeral.
Mrs. Ezinne Iyiegbu died in December 2020. During the funeral, Obi Cubana got 46 cows from his former employee, Cubana Chief Priest, and over 250 cows from his other friends. He got a trailer load of Hero Beer from a friend, 30 bags of foreign rice from a friend, a foreign casket worth 30 million from a friend, over ₦250 million from friends, and numerous other gifts that the media didn’t take notice of.
