Israel Afeare who is popularly known as Israel DMW is the logistics manager of Nigerian singer-songwriter, Davido. He was born on the 4th of October in Esanland, Edo State, and hails from Edo State, Nigeria.

Israel DMW obtained a degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

Career

On completion of his University education, Israel got into the entertainment business as a promoter. He started working with up-and-coming artists in Benin City until he took the decision to relocate to Lagos.

And just like in Nollywood movies, relocating to Lagos was a game-changer for him as he got to meet with Davido who eventually picked interest in him and decided to make him his Logistics Manager.

Some of his duty as Davido’s logistics manager includes;

• Organizing shows/events that Davido is meant to perform at.
• Organizing/scheduling Davido‘s appointments.
• Make sure that Davido gets the best accommodation & transport facilities whenever he visits any city to perform.

Israel DMW has traveled to numerous places alongside Davido and recently he went to London for the first time ever for Davido’s O2 Arena music concert and not just that, he got to perform at the O2 Arena in London.

Controversies

In January 2021, Nigerian female disc jockey and musician, Cuppy revealed that Zlatan Ibile blocked her on WhatsApp and Instagram suddenly without any cause and she tweeted that she still wonders what went wrong because they both just had a song ‘Gelato’ together.

Israel DMW then took to Instagram to claim that the reason Zlatan blocked Cuppy was that she was taking advantage of Zlatan for free just because her father is a billionaire and very popular.

Kudos to someone like Zlatan, who took a bold step by flushing a full fake friend like Cuppy who was just using his head all in the name of my papa na Otedola. Zlatan did a hit collabo with her, ordinary one kobo, he no see. She also took Zlatan to Abuja for her fundraising where she made billions of naira and didn’t even remember Zee for one kobo until tomorrow. No accommodation, no feeding. This allegation didn’t sit well with Cuppy and she decided not to let it slide and resorted to legal actions. Knowing how Cuppy was with her pursuit to get Israel legally punished, Israel made a video where he apologized publicly, begging Cuppy and her father -Otedola to tamper justice with mercy and not take legal actions. With the help of Davido’s lawyer, Bobo F. Ajudua and Davido, they were able to plead with Cuppy not to take on legal action against Israel DMW and she later on agreed and left him.

On July 29, 2021, infamous Nigerian fraudster (Ramon Abbas) popularly known as Hushpuppi, who is currently facing charges of money laundering, leveled against him by the United States Government implicated DCP Abba Kyari as a party in an international scheme to defraud Qatari school founder and then launder over $1.1 million in illicit proceeds.

Despite DCP Abba Kyari’s involvement with Hushpuppi, Israel DMW took to his Instagram story to declare his unwavering support for Abba Kyari. Israel wrote

Am fully standing with @abba Kyari. The man is a clean cop. He has fully tried and still trying in aspects of fighting wild armed robbers and kidnappers. Kindly tell me who is a saint in this our country

His remark on the issue didn’t sit well with his boss, Davido who fired him immediately and unfollowed him on Instagram. Israel DMW pleaded repeatedly and also urged Nigerians to intercede on his behalf and help beg his boss to forgive him and get him his job back. After many pleas, Davido forgave him and gave him back his job.

Personal Life

Israel got engaged to a Lady identified as Benita in 2021 and according to reports, they broke up last year, 2021.

He is a supporter of the People’s Democratic Party and a fan of Real Madrid Football Club.
