Paul Barnaby Ephraim who is popularly known as JayPaul is a Nigerian Reality TV Star, musician, Television Presenter, Producer, and Director. He was born on the 14th of October, 1992, and hails from Cross River State, Nigeria.

JayPaul is from the royal family of Calabar. His grandfather was the Obong of Calabar. He is a housemate at the 6th Season (Shine Ya Eye) of the Big Brother Naija Reality TV Star.

Education

In 2008, Jaypaul completed his secondary school education at Barachel Model College in Lagos State.

He is an alumnus of the University of Calabar where he obtained a degree in Computer Science. He also obtained proficiency in English grammar and communication at Poise Graduate Finishing School.

Career

He started off in 2013 as a public relations at Hitz Central, a media outfit centered around music and entertainment but later that year (2013), he left Hitz Central and joined Rave TV as a presenter.

5 years later, he resigned from Rave TV and launched ‘Made in Calabar’, a cultural fiesta that showcases the culture and beauty of Calabar. 

Jaypaul’s father was a movie producer and animator and he followed his father’s footsteps. He started acting as a child and followed his father around when he shoots movies. JayPaul is also a talented musician who has released a couple of singles and an EP (August Visitor), see his discography below.

He auditioned for the Big Brother Naija in 2021 and on the 24th of July, 2021, he was announced as a housemate at the Big Brother Naija Season 6.
