Roya Nikkhah is a British journalist, correspondent, and TV personality.

She was born in 1970 in the United Kingdom. She is the Royal Editor for The Sunday Times and a leading Royal Presenter, Commentator, and Broadcaster for major television and radio networks.

Education

Roya attended St. Mary’s Boarding School in Calne, Wiltshire. She is an alumnus of Newcastle University where she majored in English Literature.

She worked as an ESL tutor, and spent two years in Ukraine teaching the English language but later on, she discovered her true passion: journalism. This led to her return to England where she attended the University of Leeds and studied Journalism. She also obtained a Masters’s Degree at the City University Of London.

Career

Roya Nikkhah has enjoyed the privilege of interviewing some of the royal family members and got great insights from them. She has interviewed King Charles III, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.

For over a decade, she has garnered royal coverage experience including breaking covering major royal events and breaking exclusive stories.

Roya Nikkhah alongside Huw Edwards broadcasted BBC’s official coverage of the death and funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh.

She was also a part of the team presenting the BBC’s coverage of the Queen’s Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour, and the official D-Day commemorations broadcast in 2019.

She is a former Royal and Arts Correspondent for The Sunday Telegraph
