Ebiye Victor is a Nigerian Instagram & stand-up comedian, actor, and MC. He was born on the 13th of July, 1992. He hails from Delta State, Nigeria.

He is a graduate of Electrical Engineering student from Covenant University. He rose to prominence in 2015 after posting a comedy skit about Nigerian famous blogger, Linda Ikeji when the media mogul bought her infamous house in Banana Island.

The video garnered traction on Instagram and his fanbase started witnessing enormous growth from then. He is well known for his tearful skits where he is left in serious tears at the end of the video.

Apart from being a unique and extremely talented comedian on social media, Victor Ebiye also doubles up as a skilled and professional stand-up comedian and has performed in top shows like Mayorkun: The Mayor Of Lagos, Ajebutter: What’s Happening In Lagos, Mama Tobi: Untamed, Nonso Amadi: Homecoming, and on the 27th of August, 2017 he headlined his own show ‘Bag Of Emotions’ at Hard Rock Cafe.

In 2018, Ebiye also starred in a Cheta Chukwu directed-movie titled ‘Payday’.

Ebiye is no stranger to controversy as his career has been plagued with quite a lot of controversies.

In 2018, Nigerian songstress, Aramide’s song ‘Funmi Lowo’ won the Best Alternative Song at the Headies award and Ebiye stated that she must have had a sexual relationship with someone to have emerged the winner. Nigerians on Twitter didn’t take his statement lightly and the backlash kept on coming in.

In 2019, he was at the center of controversy over a photo & caption which he posted on Snapchat mocking Kenyan-Mexican actress, Lupita Nyong’o. In the photo (shown below) he describes what the aftermath of oral sex with the actress will be like and the wrath of Nigerians descended on him on Twitter.

In January 2020, after Burna Boy failed to win the Grammy Award for ‘World Music Album’ category, Ebiye quickly made a video, showing what he thinks 9ice reaction would be to the Grammy result as 9ice had already promised to win the Grammy a long time ago but hasn’t and once again, he caught the heat and was trolled on Twitter.

In June 2020, his ex-girlfriend Hannah took to Twitter to narrate her ordeal with Victor Ebiye and how their relationship was very toxic as Ebiye constantly abused and harassed her physically and sexually. That same day, Ellen, a popular social media personality in the Nigerian internet community, shared her private messages with Ebiye online and stated that he sends her nude photos randomly and tried to arrange a hookup.

Ebiye seems to have grown a tough skin for controversies and doesn’t shy away from getting himself into one. He has also being called out on different occasions for sharing his unclad photos online.
