That fight was so grave that David refused to speak with me for weeks, he did not reply to my text nor did he answer my calls and when I went to his office he simply ignored me.

I became desperate for alibis because I did not know what to do with you, there was no one I could talk to in my office nor could I speak with my parents about it.

I quickly put a call to Becky and told her I would be coming to her place after work, she sensed the worry in my voice, she gently asked me to come over.

When I got to Becky’s place after work, she wasn’t in yet so I waited at her door. Becky had moved out of her parents’ house two months ago, she said she wanted her space and had gotten this apartment for herself.

A few minutes later she got out of a cab and ran to meet me at the door hugging me tightly. Then she opened the door and we walked in.

The house was spotless just as I had known it would be, Becky was a lover of neat and order.

She beckoned to me to take a seat and went to get a bottle of non-alcoholic wine and two glasses, she filled the cups with and thrust one of them into my hands, holding the other one. She took a sip from the wine before asking me what was going on

“What is up girlfriend? You sounded unhappy on the phone and as I look at you you are not faring any better”

I put my glass on the table and turned to face her with a face that was filled with all seriousness.

“Becky, I’m not okay at all, if I’m going to lie to everyone I can not lie to you,” I said “What’s the matter?”
“It is David” I replied, my face gloomy
“David? Your boyfriend?” She asked

“Yes, my boyfriend” I affirmed

“What is wrong with him?” “What did he do?” she asked

“He asked for Sex” I muttered

“He asked for sex? Well, that’s nothing unusual” she said plainly

“I know it isn’t but I had told him when we started dating that I wanted to wait until my wedding night before having any sexual intercourse”

“As you should” she approved “So what did he say?” she asked

“This is not a matter of what he said o, I went to his place the other day and he tried to force himself upon me, I gave him a hard slap and ran out”

“That’s serious” she started agape

“Yes it is, I had thought he would admit guilt for what he did but instead he had been ignoring me for a week now, I even went to his office and he never gave me an audience, he doesn’t pick my calls or reply to my messages”

“Now, that’s insane” she muttered
“I don’t know what to do,” she said miserably

“You know what girlfriend? Just give him space alright, he is the one at fault here and should be the one apologizing, calling and texting you not the other way around”

“Just give him space, ignore him and see what happens” she advised “That’s easier said than done,” I said miserably

“I know it’s difficult but just give it a trial, I’m sure he will come running back” Becky consoled me for a while before I felt good enough to drive home.

I followed Becky’s instruction for another week and when he did not speak to me, I decided to go confront him in his house.

I wanted to drive to his house but decided against it and took a cab instead. I got to his house, the security man let me in and I walked to the door.

I turned the doorknob and found the door unlocked and let myself in hoping to surprise David but I was the one left shocked.

There was David on the bed with another woman, I gasped in shock at the sight in front of me which made the woman turn around.

Alas, it was the chatterbox Bimpe. Read the next chapter (18) Here!
