The post sparked outrage on social media and a good number of celebrities and fans came after him for his remark. But then again, Timaya’s dress sense makes it hard for him to be excluded from this type of list despite his request.

American jewelry company, Icebox revealed that Davido spends between 50 to 100 million Naira each time he comes around and of course jewelry makes up a significant proportion of your dressing.
Of course, a lot of our musicians can afford top brands like Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, but not all can keep up with the rate at which Davido acquires really expensive jewelries.

Even tho he has now deleted all his old photos, back then, going through Wizkid’s page on Instagram was just like going window shopping in a really expensive boutique. Just when you think you’ve seen all the latest trending clothes, Wiz will show you another killer dress or style that you’ve not seen before.
You don’t just earn the name ‘Starboy’ by just knowing how to sing, your dressing at all times has to be top-notch for you to call yourself a Starboy, and to be honest, since Wizkid’s career took off, I haven’t seen him dress shabby or look average. You may look back at some of his throwback photos now and laugh but back then, the cloth, watch, or shoe in the throwback photo was the trend in fashion. I remember Wizkid made Ray-bans sunglasses, G-Shock watch, and also brown chinos trend in Nigeria back then.

I personally think a lot of these global top fashion brands are sleeping on our celebrities in terms of brand influence, anyway they promote these brands for free in their music videos and on their social media platforms.
