The 2021 Grammy award was as spectacular as every other one before it. The world marveled at the scintillating and awesome performances from talented global artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Burna Boy and many more.

In addition, this year’s award made history with Beyoncé breaking her own record. How did she do that? Firstly by working hard to create impactful music. Secondly, by winning four more awards as a result making her the female artist of all time with the most Grammy Awards. On the other hand, award winning Soloist Billie Eilis became the first in this century to win record of the year twice in a row. Did I hear someone say “the women are indeed taking challenge?” Well yes they are!

Consequently, we are delighted about this 63rd Grammy award and how Nigerian Artist Burna Boy won a Grammy for his album titled Twice As Tall . He won this award after losing to south African Angelique Kidjo in the previous award show. Similarly, ace Nigerian musician Wizkid  won his first Grammy award making him one of the 2021 Grammy award winners. Subsequently, as the year 2021 moves onward we look forward to more global impacts from Nigerian and African artists. Certainly, the 2022 Grammy award will recognize more African artist as we keep our fingers crossed expecting their unraveled musical masterpiece.

Most importantly, It is worthy of note that the 2021 Grammy Award winners won from a nominees selection method. That is to say, they literarily contested with their colleagues who were also exceptional artists. John Legend for instance was nominated along side fellow talented artist Ant Clemons ,Luke James and Gregory Porter for some of their selected R&B albums. However, he (John Legend) won this category for his album Bigger You. Every winner on the 2020 Grammy Award winners list was nominated for their songs and performances within the year 2019 to 2021.

As the curtain for this years award show has been drawn, we sit engrossed in the victory of the winners while we anticipate what will be created before the next Grammy Award.

Which of the winners are you most excited for in the 2021 Grammy Award Winners list? It is our home boys – Burna and Wizkid for me!
