Aisha Buhari’s Twitter handle deactivated

The Twitter handle of Nigeria’s First lady, Aisha Buhari, has been deactivated.

Shortly after the Buhari-led government announced the suspension of the micro-blogging site’s operations in the country, the first lady took to Twitter to announce that she would be deactivating her account in solidarity with the Government’s decision to suspend Twitter.

She keeps to her promise as her account is currently deactivated.

Meanwhile, President Buhari’s Twitter handle is still active.
