Burna Boy called out on Twitter for copying text from a cartoon

Grammy Award-winning singer, Burna Boy gets backlash on Twitter after netizens discovered that his quote on Twitter about his album and his fans was taken from an anime on Netflix.

Burna Boy took to Twitter yesterday to speak of his next album, he wrote;

This next album. I need you to hear the pain in my voice, The pain of an OUTSIDER, Forever marked by my skin ,my past and the place I come from No matter how skilled I am or how honourable I proved myself.

I forever suffer. The full (**dull) eyed masses hatred of anything they do not understand. I embraced my pain and turned it into the greatest weapon this world will ever know.

A Twitter user (@chinvzvm), reacted to the post, calling the attention of people to the fact that the quote is from the latest Japanese anime, Yasuke, released on April 29, 2021, barely two weeks ago.
