Iniubong’s killer, Uduak Akpan narrates encounter that led to her death, calls it self-defense

Uduak Akpan, the suspect in the death and murder of 26-year-old Iniubong Umoren who came to seek a job, has narrated how he killed her.

Shortly after Umoren’s funeral service, Uduak was paraded by the Akwa Ibom police and he went on to narrate to pressmen the incident that led to the death of Umoren.

According to Akpan, after Umoren arrived at his house, he told her there was no job and asked to sleep with her before she leaves and she agreed. He also claimed that the victim attacked him with a stabilizer after he tried to remove the protection he was wearing. Confessing to his crimes, the 24-year-old suspect Akpan said he used the stabilizer and pressing iron to kill her.
