Ole Gunnar Solksjaer gets fired by Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been relieved of his duty as Manchester United manager after a shameful 4-1 defeat by Watford on Saturday.

The Red Devils icon had been in charge of the club for nearly three years but the pressure to fire him started building up after humiliating losses to Liverpool and Man City despite having Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho in the squad.

A meeting was held by the club’s hierarchy on Sunday morning, November 21, and the decision to fire him was made and he will be paid a £7.5m severance fee due to the fact he signed a new 3-year deal in June.

Posting on its social media platforms, Manchester United wrote;

Manchester United can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has left his role as manager. Thank you for everything Ole.
