Jeffrey Xu Ming Jie who is simply known as Jeffrey Xu is a Chinese actor who currently resides in Singapore.

Education

Unlike so many others who lost track and deviated from their childhood dream profession, Jeffrey fell in love with acting from a young age and stuck to it. He studied Performing major at Shanghai Film Art Academy and during his school days, he used to take up part-time jobs and performances such as traditional Chinese opera, modern musicals, and experimental pieces with local theater groups.

Career

Jeffrey came into the limelight in 2010 when he was discovered in the tenth season of Star Search in which he emerged as the winner.

He made his drama debut appearance in Devotion where he played the role of an autistic child. He played his role so well that he got a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Stars Award 2012.

The following year, 2013, he got nominated for Best Support Actor at the Stars Award and he also bagged the same nomination in the same category and awarding body in 2017.

Xu has starred in numerous dramas since then (See his filmography below) and has done so well for himself and his career. He was named as one of the 8 Dukes of Caldecott Hill.

In 2013, Jeffrey won the “Best Actor In A Supporting Role” award at the 18th Asian Television Awards (ATA) for his role in Marry Me. (See his awards and nominations below).

In 2015, Jeffrey Xu met Felicia Chin at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and what would be a sweet love story started from there. They eventually started dating and their love waxed stronger every day.

Jeffrey Xu has been dating Felicia Chin for over seven years now and in 2022, the lovers decided to take their love to the next level.

On the 29th of July, 2022, right in front of family, friends, and fellow actors, Jeffrey went down on his knee to propose to Felicia Chin at the Night Safari and she said yes.

Jeffrey chose the location because Felicia’s first job was at the Night Safari and her childhood dream was to work as a zookeeper. Jeffrey also told CNA Lifestyle that they love animals and frequently go on dates to the zoo.

On the 22nd of October, 2022, Jeffrey Xu and Felicia Chin got married at Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church.
