Quadri Oyebamiji who was popularly known as Sisi Quadri was a Nigerian actor that starred in Yoruba movies, a Makeup Artist, Tailor, and an MC.

He as born on the 26th of December, 1979 in Iwo, Osun State, and hails from Osun State, Nigeria.

Education

He completed his Primary and Secondary School Education in Ore, Ondo State.

After his secondary school, he returned to Osun State to study Arabic and the Quran as his father wanted him to be a Muslim preacher. In 1999, he graduated from a fashion school where he studied Fashion Design for four years. He also attended Osun State Polytechnic Iree where he obtained a Diploma.

Career

Prior to his acting career, he was a Makeup Artist. He was introduced & trained into the profession by Alhaja Yinka Oluaye. She was the same person that gave him the nickname Sisi Quadri because he behaves like a woman. He was also a tailor prior to acting and had studied fashion design for four years.

Sisi Quadri’s acting career started in 2000 when his father’s elder brother introduced him to his mentor and lecturer in the movie industry, Toyin Olaiya (Alaga council).

Toyin Olaiya introduced him to acting and from there he started to meet some popular actors. When he met the late Hameeda Shakeem, she immediately picked interest in him and made him become a part of their team of actors.

He came into the limelight in 2004 after starring in the movie ‘Seranko Seniyan’ that was released on the 4th of December, 2004. He instantly became known for his sharp-tongued wit and mockery and that made him stood out in the movie industry.

With the advent and wild-spread of social media, he took advantage of it and started sharing skits online with his friend, Funmi Awelewa and that made him even more popular.

Personal Life

Sisi Quadri was a happily married man and he had four kids, three sons and a daughter named Mahmoud, Mostafa, Hassan, and Aya.

Death

On the 1st of March, 2024, the same date for the release of the movie ‘Aníkúlápó: Rise of the Spectre’ which he starred in, Sisi Quadri was pronounced dead.

He died in his hometown in Osun State, five days after battling with a brief illness.
