Charleston White is an American online content creator, comedian, speaker, and businessman. He was born on the 17th of May, 1977, in Texas, United States.
He is well known for citing his criminal past and using it to educate black Americans on the need to stay away from a life of crime and violence.
Education
Charleston White attended Giddings State School, a juvenile correctional facility of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. From his inheritance which he got from his father, he sponsored his education and attended Texas Wesleyan University and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Charleston is an American online content creator, speaker, and businessman. After he was released from jail, he decided to dedicate his life to counseling young men who are heading towards a life of crime and letting them know the dangers that lie ahead with such a lifestyle.
In May 2012, he founded HYPE, an organization whose mission is to reach out to children and teenagers prone to becoming criminals and enlighten them about the consequences of being a criminal.
Charleston never shies away from speaking against popular Black Americans who preach violence and lead youths to the path of crime and violence. He is also a motivational speaker, in July 2014, he volunteered as a chaplain at Welcome Back Tarrant County, and in May 2012, he also volunteered at the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
Charleston is an online content creator, he has appeared on several podcasts and vlogs, he did own a YouTube channel with well over 240,000 subscribers but his channel was later terminated by YouTube for violating YouTube’s community guidelines. On Instagram, he has garnered over 250,000 followers.
Controversies
In July 2022, rapper Soulja Boy confronted Charleston White in Miami and Charleston maced him.
Charleston is known for his bold takes on rappers who preach and practice violence. Charleston stated that Young Thug needs to serve at least 10 years in prison as he deserves it. He stated that Young Thug has constituted so much violence in the black community and he wondered why it is now cool for black people to call themselves demons. Charleston boldly makes the statement “Death to all hang members”.
He stated that he feels no single sadness for the death of King Von and that King Von deserved to die. He stressed that people should consider King Von’s victims as they are the ones that should be sympathized with.
His Arrest
In 1991, at the age of 14, Charleston White was convicted of murder.
Charleston and three of his friends had shoplifted athletic jackets from a Foot Locker store. During the robbery, a man tried to stop them, and the man was shot dead by one of Charleston’s friends in the parking lot.
He was charged with murder and was also convicted. Charleston was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment. He became among the first juveniles in Tarrant County to be adjudicated for murder. In prison, he went through a total transformation and started to turn his life around for good. He attended Giddings State School, which helped him accept accountability for his actions and develop values, morals, and character. While still under custody, he went through The Capital Offender Program, which helped him value other people’s lives.
He was to be transferred to the adult prison system but four juvenile correctional officers testified to the judge that he changed positively and this was what saved Charleston. He was then returned to Giddings State School and in 1998, at the age of 21, he was released.
Personal Life
Charleston White is a married man. He is married to Tamara White and they have two children. A son named Charleston Jr and a daughter named Charli.
His father, Charles Ray was a Navy Officer. His parents got divorced while he was still very young and so he was raised by his mother. His Charleston’s father, Charles Ray died in 2009 and left him an inheritance of $20,000. He used the money to sponsor his University education.
Charleston has a half-brother named, Kay White. Kay White was jailed for 31 years for alleged murder.
