Ojesanmi Afeez Opeyemi, popularly known as FunnyHorje or Salo, is a Nigerian musician, comedian, and social media personality. He was born on the 9th of November, 1999, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Education
He studied English Language and Literature at the University of Ibadan and graduated in 2019.
Career
Born in a music-inclined family, Salo developed an interest in music at an early age, so he started learning some musical instrumentals. After graduating from the University of Ibadan in 2019, he moved to Lagos to pursue a music career and gain relevance in the entertainment industry.
He made his music debut in 2016 when he released the song ‘Omo Ibadan’. He has since released over 4 music body of work and several singles (See his discography below).
Salo came into the limelight in late December 2022, when he made a video of himself singing the song ‘What Happened To Virgil’ by Lil Durk and he got the lyrics wrong and said ‘Oh my God what happened to Virgin’. The video immediately went viral online as many netizens found it funny and the song skyrocketed once again in Nigerian Top 100 songs on Apple Music.
Salo is also a comedian who makes comedy skits on YouTube and also on Instagram. His YouTube channel currently has over 19,000 subscribers and on Instagram, he has over 850,000 followers.
