Abdullahi Maruf Adisa who is professionally known as Trinity Guy is a Nigerian prankster, online content creator, and internet personality. He was born on the 11th of November 1994 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
Career
Trinity Guy didn’t start out as a prankster. His career started in June 2016 as a musician. He started to pursue a career in music up until mid-2018. Unable to find success in music, he delved into acting.
He continued to put in work to become a successful and renowned actor but his acting career did not take off either. He then switched to making prank videos in 2020 and that was when he started to gain traction and build a fanbase for himself. He tries to get a reaction, mostly fear, from unsuspecting passersby in his prank videos, recording their reaction and then sharing it online. At the end of the shoot, most times, he compensates those involved financially after letting them know that it was all a prank.

Controversies
Due to the nature of his content, Trinity Guy is no stranger to controversy. In 2021, after he feigned kidnapping in one of his prank videos, he was invited by the Oyo State Police Command. The police force was concerned with public safety and hence the invitation and subsequent questioning.
He got into trouble again with the Nigerian police again in 2023 when he shared a prank video where he scared passersby with ‘gunshots’. During the creation of the video, he inflicted great fear on passersby, especially an elderly woman, and laid down on the ground and started praying. This particular video caught the attention of the spokesman of the Nigerian Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who then suggested on Twitter that Trinity Guy needs to be arrested. The spokesman’s urged those affected by the prankster to report him to authorities. The tweet by the Police Spokesman started garnering traction online and netizens dug up another video of the prankster making a very disturbing skit with a female minor. In the skit, he asked the little guy if she saw his private part and went ahead to ask her to describe it. The video sparked outrage and he was invited by the police force, on Friday, June 23rd, 2023, he honored the invitation and appeared at the Oyo State Police Command. The skit caught the attention of NGOs and CLOs who made reports to the police too and were keenly interested in the case.
He was detained throughout the weekend and eventually charged to court on Monday, June 26th, 2023, and the court remanded him in prison until Tuesday, July 11, 2023, when his case will be discussed further before the court and he was detained in the Agodi Correctional Facility.
