Education

Between 1979 and 1981, she attended Teachers’ Training College, Nsugbe in Anambra State.

Charity Maduka also attended Consertum Institute of Catering and Hotel Management, Idi-Araba, Lagos State from February to July 1983. She also attended various Leadership and Entrepreneurship training seminars/courses both home and abroad.

Career

Before co-founding Coscharis Group with her husband, she was a professional teacher and a caterer.

From October to December 1981, she taught at Akamili Central School, Umudim – Nnewi. Between January 1982 to January 1983, she taught at Tolu Primary School III, Tolu Village, Ajeromi Ifelodun/Apapa, LGA, Lagos.

She then later co-founded the Coscharis Group with her husband, Cosmas Maduka. Charity Maduka was the Vice President of Coscharis Group.

She was the Executive Director of Coscharis Group, supervising the Administrative, Legal, Works / Maintenance, Export, Technologies teams of the organization between 1984 to 2003.

In 2005, Charity Maduka became the Executive Chairman and COO of Coscharis Beverages Limited and Coscharis Properties Limited respectively.

Death

She died at about 8 pm on Saturday, November 28, 2021, at their country home of Umudim-Nkwa, Nnewi, a family source has disclosed.

Charity Maduka is said to have accompanied her husband to the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, Abia state, where he received an honorary degree, but soon began to complain of feeling uncomfortable after they arrived at their Nnewi country home.

Mrs. Charity Maduka’s cause of death borders on a long battle with an unidentified illness that kept her in and out of hospitals throughout the years.
