Francine Kouffie who is well known as Fantana is an American-born Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and Entrepreneur. She was born on the 3rd of July, 1997, in the United States of America.

Fantana also known as Capo Tana was raised in Georgia, United States before she relocated to Ghana. Fantana hails from Nzema land; a Western Region in Ghana.

Education

She had her Primary and Secondary Education in the United States of America and also bagged a degree in Business and Fashion from an institution in the US.

Career

At first, she wasn’t willing to share her content online but she later on decided to start showing her talent online and that was the beginning of her career. Supported by her colleagues, she continued to release more freestyles online and started garnering fans for herself. Her new-found fans continued to expect more freestyles from her but she took them by surprise in 2018 when she dropped the song ‘Backstabber’.

The record gave her career even more positive boost and she went on to release other top records like Forever Young, Blue Eyes, You, Me and The Sea, and many other records.

She was given the stage name ‘Fantana’ by her manager Bullet whom she met through the late Ghanaian songstress, Wendy Shay.

Fantana is the daughter of Ghanaian businesswoman, Dorcas Affo-Toffey and Mr. Kouffie.

She is currently not married yet and was previously in a relationship with Ayanle Husein. Unfortunately, her boyfriend Husein died in January 2023. She took to Snapchat to break the bad news and wrote;

Ayanle Hussein, my love. I can’t believe they took you away from me. My angel on earth, I am so broken. I cried and cried. I love you so much. You made me a better person; you thought me so much and believed in me. I’m sorry they did this to you. we loved each other so much. From day one, we were inseparable.
