Daniella Ibinabo Daniel who is popularly known as Morravey is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

She was born in March 2004 in Port Harcourt and hails from Rivers State, Nigeria.

Education

Prior to getting signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), Morravey was a 300-level student at Rivers State University where she was studying Medicine and Surgery.

She was already fed up with school and was praying to God to give her the strength and motivation to finish the course or give her a way out through music. When Davido eventually contacted her and offered her a record deal, she took it as a prayer answered and eventually quit school. Davido had to call her mother himself to allow her to pursue a career in music rather than medicine at the time.

Morravey has intentions of returning to school later in the future but not necessarily to study medicine again.

Career

Just like former DMW singer, Mayorkun, Morravey was discovered by Davido online. At the time, she was still studying Medicine at Rivers State University and was about to enter 300-Level. She was already fed up with school and was praying for strength to complete the degree or breakthrough in music so she could comfortably leave school.

At the time, Morravey was making covers and sharing them online, and eventually, her content caught the attention of the award-winning singer-songwriter, Davido. Davido sent her a message and when she got the notification, her phone screen was bad and covered with ink so she didn’t see the notification properly and thought the notification was about Davido going live. She clicked on the notification and the Instagram app opened and she saw that it was a message from Davido who had picked interest in her and wanted to sign her.

Davido spoke with Morravey’s mum on the phone and that was when she finally allowed Morravey to leave school and pursue a career in music. She eventually relocated to Lagos and got signed to Davido Music Worldwide, one of the biggest record labels in Nigeria.

Morravey made her debut on Davido’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Timeless’ in the song ‘In The Garden’. On the 2nd of November, 2023, she released her debut music project, an EP titled ‘RAVI’.

Personal Life

Morravey is the first child and she has four younger sisters and no brother. She is a very religious lady who takes God & Christianity very seriously. Her first-ever visit to Lagos State was for a church program.

There is no public information regarding her relationship status as she keeps her love life private. It is unknown who she is dating currently or if she is even in a relationship at all.
