Oludipe Oluwasanmi David who is popularly known as Spyro is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He was born on the 1st of October (the year of birth is currently unknown) in Lagos State, Nigeria, and hails from Lagos State.
Education
Spyro had his Primary School education at New Mainland Children School and he had his Secondary Education at Model College in Meiran in Lagos State.
Upon completion of secondary school, Spyro enrolled in the University Of Ibadan and has now graduated from the institution.
Career
Spyro picked an interest in music from a very young age and has since held on to and followed his childhood passion. At the time of his career beginning, Usher and R Kelly were his music mentor and upon observation, you can tell they have an influence on his music delivery.
Spyro started out as an independent artist releasing the top-notch song ‘Janet (Wife Material)’ and began his journey of garnering a fanbase for himself.
Spyro’s talent eventually caught the attention of Paul O, a Nigerian event promoter and talent manager who then signed Spyro to Upfront Record, and under the platform, he was able to feature Davido and Mayorkun on the remix of his song ‘Funke’.
Spyro eventually left Upfront Record and was signed to TAP Music and he started to garner heavy traction when he released the song ‘Billing’, the song was so big that Davido even jumped on it but the remix with Davido didn’t eventually get released.
Things got even better for Spyro when he dropped the song ‘Who Is Your Guy?’, as the song rose to the top 10 on Nigerian Apple Music chart.
