Evelyn Serwaa Poku Aidoo who is popularly known as Serwaa Broni is a Ghanaian-Canadian nurse and the alleged side-chick of the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.

She was born on the 12th of June, 1982 in Kumasi, Ghana.

Education

Serwaa Broni attended Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast. In pursuit of her education, she relocated to Canada in 2000 and enrolled in the University of Toronto and she graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

In 2006, she also earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto.

Career

Serwaa Broni is a successful nurse who has had a successful career in the UK. Her outstanding career has earned her praise and accolades.

She worked at Versa Care, a long-term care facility in Toronto. She also worked at Red Door Family Shelter, a shelter for homeless families and survivors of domestic violence in Toronto.

Serwaa also worked as a consultant and trainer for other healthcare organizations and agencies.

In 2018, she quit her job to focus on her family and personal projects and has since been involved in humanitarian and charitable activities.

Serwaa Broni is a married woman and she is married to Nana Ama Osei. Serwaa Broni met her husband in 2008 at a conference in Ottawa and they fell in love.

They got married in 2010 in Toronto and they currently have four children together and they were all conceived through artificial insemination. Their kids are named Kwaku, Kwame, Kwesi, and Kwadwo and they are aged 12, 10, 8, and 6 respectively.

She is the daughter of Kwame Poku and Abena Aidoo and she has three siblings, Kwabena Poku, Akosua Poku, and Kofi Poku.

Controversy

In 2021, Serwaa became well known in Ghana after she took to social media to disclose that she is the sidekick of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

She supported her claim by sharing photos of herself with the president in a private jet and at a hotel.

She stated that she has been having an affair with the president for years and also went ahead to accuse the president of corruption, nepotism, and incompetence.

According to her, she was tired of harassment & manipulation and that was why she finally decided to let the public know of the president’s secret affairs.

To the surprise of nobody, her revelation was met with mixed reactions, some praised her for her courage in exposing the president while some lashed out at her and accused her of lying and tarnishing the president’s image and as expected the President denied her allegations and have sued her for defamation and blackmail.

Serwaa was accused of being an agent of the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who are trying to use her to ruin the President’s reputation. She has maintained her stance and stated that she is willing to cooperate with any investigation or inquiry.
