Terry Waya is a Nigerian London-based businessman and socialite. He was born on the 3rd of May, 1961 in Benue State and hails from Benue State, Nigeria.
He is the father of Nigeria Reality TV Star, Kiddwaya.

He attended Kaduna Polytechnic.
Career
After his education, he left Kaduna and moved to Abuja and that was his beginning to wealth. His first major breakthrough came when he was consulted for the company responsible for building the renowned Transcorp Hilton in the early 1990s.
During the Sani Abacha regime, Terry Waya became a key intermediary for prominent politicians and that was when he became affiliated with lots of politicians. With his newly acquired wealth, he delved into various investments in the UK and around Europe.
Terry Waya’s 40th birthday in London made him very very popular as more than half of Nigeria’s state governors as well as other top public officials were in attendance. The lavish party led to controversy as the then-President Olusegun Obasanjo accusee some governors of squandering state resources by attending such social gatherings abroad.
Terry Waya’s challenge started when some of his political friends including James Ibori, Lucky Igbinedion, and Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, encountered legal troubles. As a result, he maintained a low profile during that period and also faced health challenges and his own legal issues in the UK.
He is now back in the limelight, leaving a luxury life and his son, Kiddwaya was also a housemate in the season 5 of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija.
Controversy
In November 2005, Terry Waya was arrested in his North London home on charges of money laundering. Terry Waya was granted bail and asked to report to the London Police sometime in June 2006.
Waya was charged with two counts of obtaining money transfers by deception on September 11, 2006.
He was found guilty of obtaining money transfers by deception in relation to a mortgage of £465,000 with G.E. money to buy his London property at 18A Northgate, Prince Albert Road, London. He was said to have given false information in his application about his status, his current employment, date of birth and other details.
The second count relates to a re-mortgage he took out for £838,000 with Birmingham Midshires Bank of which he was found not guilty.
On 7th August 2007, he was sentenced at the Southwark Crown Court and received 80 hours community service order. He was ordered to pay a £1,540,000 confiscation order at the Southwark Crown Court in London, United Kingdom. He was ordered to pay the full amount within six months or face 30 months imprisonment for default. He was also ordered to pay
£5,000 prosecution fees within three months.
Personal Life
He is happily married to Susan Waya and they have two sons together, Terseer “Kiddwaya” Waya and Daniel Waya.
He was previously in a relationship with Eno Olafisoye Udoh and they have a son together.
