Kizz Daniel – Twe Twe Lyrics Translation

In this article, I will be translating and explaining the lyrics of the song ‘Twe Twe’ by Kizz Daniel. In celebration of his 10-year career span, Kizz Daniel released two singles ‘Twe Twe’ and ‘Too Busy To Be Bae’ on the 11th of December, 2023.

The song ‘Twe Twe’ was predominantly in Yoruba language, so let us get to the translation of the song.

Won ni things ti won
(They said things are expensive)
Won ni omo won
(They said raising a child is expensive)
Won ni car ti won
(They said owing a car is expensive)
Ka shey akojo
(Let’s save up)
Mallam na mallam
Alhamdulilahi owo mi po dada
(Thank God my money is plenty)
Yen yen yen

In this part of the song, Kizz Daniel was saying that people are talking, and they are saying that things are expensive, they are saying that having/raising a child is expensive, and having a car has become expensive. He was just basically saying that the economy is bad and things are expensive and he proceeded to suggest saving up for the times ahead.

“Mallam na Mallam”, the original meaning of mallam is a Muslim teacher, that is a man learned in Koranic studies or an educated man. But in Nigeria, the majority of the popular call those from the Northern part of the country mallam. The Northerners are also known for their business adventure and the richest man in Africa is also from the Northern part of Nigeria. So Kizz Daniel was just saying that a Mallam is a Mallam, no matter anything, no matter how difficult things are, the Mallam will sort himself out.

Alhamdulilah owo mi po dada. ‘Alhamdulilah’ is an Arabic word used by Muslims that means Thank God or Praise be to God and as you probably already know, Kizz Daniel is a Muslim. So here Kizz Daniel is saying, thank God that his money is enough and he won’t be affected by the prices of things that are now expensive.

Omoge wawo ghost
(Baby girl come and see ghost)
Sare wa kin toast eh
(Quickly come let me toast you)
Mo ti pa owo sporty
(I have collected sporty’s money) (That is he has made money from Sportybet)
Pelu zero shorty
(With zero shorty)
Mo ti mu one, I’m on two
(I have drunk one, I’m on two)
Moni ko lomu round three wa
(I said you should bring round two)
Shedi bembelebe
(Shake your bum bum)
Big Vado

“Omoge wa wo ghost” Here Kizz Daniel is referring to himself as a ghost, telling a girl ‘Baby girl come and see a ghost’. Baby girl come and see a type of guy that will shock you, a complete type of guy, good looking, good finances and all that. Then Moti pa owo sporty means I have collected Sporty’s money, sporty there is referring to a betting company in Nigeria known as SportyBet, so he is saying he has just cashed out from SportyBet, and then Pelu zero shorty means with Zero babe. He is saying that he just made money from SportyBet and has no babe to spend his money on or to spend the money with, so in the next line(s) he resorted to drinking alcohol. He already drunk the first round, and he is currently drinking the second round and he is currently demanding that the third round be brought to him.

Twe twe twe twe twe twe

I dey wait I dey wait
(I am waiting, I am waiting)

The chorus is just Kizz Daniel asking a lady or listeners to twerk. Twe is short form for twerk.

Hello hello
Madam you are hot
Shey we fit link up?
(Can we link up?)
Inside my helicopter
Hello hello
Wabami fagbo
(Come and join me to smoke weed)
Wabami shayo
(Come and join me in drinking alcohol)
Two four seven
Ha ha ha ha ha
Oh baby soro fun mi, soro pa
(Oh baby talk to me, talk plenty)
Jen rowo na
(Let me see the money)
Jen rowo fishe faaji o
(Let me see money for enjoyment)
Sare bami yin 1 million kansi padi mi
(Quickly help me with 1 million once again my friend)

Here Kizz Daniel is feeling a lady here, he lets her know that she is hot, that she is good-looking and he proceeds to ask her if they can hang out together in his helicopter.  He also suggested that she come to join him drink alcohol and smoke weed nonstop, 24/7 there is referring to 24 hours of the day and 7 days of the week, meaning nonstop. Jen rowo na, Jen rowo fishe faaji o, in the context of the song, here Kizz Daniel is asking the lady to give him a reason to spend his money, a reason to spend his money on enjoyment.

As he proceeded in the song, it seemed like he had lavished his money on enjoyment and was asking for yet another 1 million Naira to continue the enjoyment galore.
