Zlatan – 10 Bottles Lyrics Translation and Explanation

Hello, in this post I’ll be translating and also explaining the lyrics of the song ’10 Bottles’ by Zlatan. The song was recorded in Yoruba language, Nigerian pidgin and a little bit of English.

I’ll be giving the literal meaning of the lyrics as well as explaining the lyrics for more understanding. The song was produced by Chech.

[Verse 1]
Say go hard or go home
Ah, my brother no padi for jungle oh
(My brother no friend in the jungle)
Nobody go help you if you struggle oh
(Nobody will help you if you struggle)
Ah, say, so many things that you don’t know
Ha, when e sup you go see them oh
(When it happens, you will see them)
When e finish, dem go say money miss road
(When it finishes, they will say it’s money miss road)

“My brother no paid for jungle” means, my brother, there’s no friend in the jungle. Like on the streets, on the grind, there is no friend. Everybody is after their own gain and don’t care about anybody or anything else.

“Nobody go help you if you struggle oh” means nobody will help you if you are struggling.

“Ha, when e sup you go see them oh. when e sup you go see them oh” means when it happens, that is when you are doing well, you will see them. When things are going very well for you, you will be surrounded by a lot of people.

“When e finish, dem go say money miss road” that is when it finishes they will call you money miss road. Money means road means money that got to the wrong person or to an underserving person. So Zlatan is saying, when the money finishes, those people that surrounded you when the money was surplus will still be the one to ridicule you and say that you didn’t even deserve the money in the first place.

[Pre-Chorus]
When dem dey sleep, me I no dey sleep, I dey shishe oh
(When they are sleeping, I don’t sleep, I am working)
Mo tẹpa mọṣẹ ki n le gbọpẹ oh
(I double my hustle to be able to cashout)
Lọ wa update lọ ko to wẹ ọṣẹ oh, ah
(go and look for update before you bath soap)
Kabiesi, na Your doings make me dey shope oh
(King/God it is your doings that is making me to give thanks)
Pe mo gbọpẹ na oore ọfẹ o
(I cash out today it’s because of grace)
Ẹ wo aye mi lode, yeah yeah yeah
(See my life now)

When dem dey sleep, me I no dey sleep, I dey shishe oh
Meaning when they are sleeping, me I don’t sleep, I am working

Mo tẹpa mọṣẹ ki n le gbọpẹ oh
Meaning I double my hustle to be able to cashout

Lọ wa update lọ ko to wẹ ọṣẹ oh, ah meaning, you should go and look for update before you bath soap. You know in yahoo yahoo or scam, there are people who get very desperate and go diabolical so they can be able to really make get money from scamming. Those people go to a traditional person that will give them soap to bath as part of the ritual so you can find a gullible person to scam and make money from. So Zlatan is saying before going that route, go and find update first. That is find out the way others are cashing out first before you go diabolical.

Kabiyesi, na Your doings make me dey shope oh meaning king or God, it is your doings that is making me to give thanks

Pe mo gbọpẹ na oore ọfẹ o it means If I cashed out today it’s because of grace

Ẹ wo aye mi lode meaning see my life now

[Chorus]
Tẹ ba ra one bottle, a ma ra two bottles oh
(If you buy one bottle, we will buy two bottles)
Wọn ṣe three bottles, awa ma ṣe ten bottles
(if you buy three bottles, we will buy ten)
Franklin Benjamin, in bundle bundle oh
Azaman wey dey dull, e go see my trouble oh
(Azaman that is dulling will see my trouble)
I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose
Shey you will snooze?
(Will you snooze)
I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose

Tẹ ba ra one bottle, a ma ra two bottles oh means if you buy one bottle, we will buy two bottles. It’s just a show of superiority or capacity. Zlatan is saying whatever you do in the club, we can and will do double of that and even more.

Wọn ṣe three bottles, awa ma ṣe ten bottles meaning if you buy three bottles, we will buy ten bottles.

Franklin Benjamin in bundle bundle oh. Here Franklin Benjamin is referring to the 100 dollar bill. Franklin Benjamin is the person on the 100 dollar bill. So Zlatan is saying here, 100 dollar bill in bundle, that is plenty of 100 dollar bill.

Azaman wey dey dull, e go see my trouble oh meaning Azaman that is dulling he will see my trouble. Azaman is usually the person whose account is used for receive proceed from scams. And sometimes, this people or person referred to as Azaman make attempt to run away with the money instead of forwarding it to the people who ran the scam and used his account. So Zlatan is saying an Azaman that is dulling or trying to misbehave will see his trouble.

I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose
Shey you go snooze? Shey you will snooze? Means will you snooze?

I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose

[Post-Chorus]
Ko sowo ko sobo
(No money, no vag*na)
Azul o ki n ṣe zobo
(Azul isn’t zobo)
Ngbọ ki lo ṣe koko?
(What did you hear is the main deal?)
Owonikoko hah, owonikoko heh
(Money is the main deal)
Ko sowo ko sobo
(No money, no vag*na)
Azul o ki n se bobo
(Azul isn’t zobo)
Ngbọ ki lo ṣe koko?
(What did you hear is the main deal?)
Owonikoko hah, owonikoko heh
(Money is the main deal)

Ko s’owo ko s’obo means no money, no vag*na. That is if you don’t have money, no sex for you.

[Verse 2]
Mi o se, ọmọ oro nothing concern me
(I’m not doing, thug or street boy nothing concern me)
If no be money matter na whyning
(If it’s not money matter then it’s a joke or it’s not something serious)
I don’t care, I don’t care attitude
Fun awọn ọmọ aṣana yii t’ọn fẹ ba mi sun
(Is what I give to all the prostitutes that wants to sleep with me)
I go dey grind, grind nonstop
(I’ll be hustling nonstop)
Make my money no get bustop
(So my money has no ending)
Even Mr. Dangote never stop
(Even Mr. Dangote hasn’t stopped)
Abi you wan depend on person to fit chop?
(Or do you want to depend on someone to be able to feed?)

“Mi o se, ọmọ oro nothing concern me” meaning I’m not doing, thug or street boy nothing concern me

“If no be money matter na whyning” meaning if it’s not money matter then it’s a joke or it’s not something serious
I don’t care, I don’t care attitude
Fun awọn ọmọ aṣana yii t’ọn fẹ ba mi sun meaning is what I give to all the prostitutes that wants to sleep with me. That is I don’t care, I don’t care attitude is what he wants to be giving to the prostitutes that wants to sleep with him.

I go dey grind, grind nonstop meaning, I’ll be grinding nonstop, that’s I’ll be hustling nonstop.

Make my money no get bustop. It means so that my money won’t have an end. He is saying he will continue to work hard and make more money till his money has no end.

Even Mr Dangote never stop, That’s even Mr Dangote, the richest man in Africa hasn’t stopped hustling, despite all the money he has, he is still working.

“Abi you wan depend on person to fit chop?” Meaning or do you want to depend on somebody to be able to eat.

Ẹ wo aye mi lode, yeah yeah yeah
(See my life now)

Azaman wey dey dull, e go see my trouble oh
(Azaman that is dulling will see my trouble)
I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose
Shey you will snooze?
(Will you snooze)
I will never loseguard oh
Never snooze, I will never lose

[Post-Chorus]
Ko sowo ko sobo
(No money, no vag*na)
