Controversial Nigerian musician, Naira Marley has finally returned to Nigeria and is currently in police custody to aid the police with their investigation into the controversial death of rapper, singer, and songwriter, Mohbad.
The Marlian Music boss who was once loved by many quickly became an outcast and the enemy of the people after the death of Mohbad. After Mohbad’s death, videos started to make rounds online showing several moments Sam Larry, an associate of Naira Marley, bullied and harassed Mohbad after he unceremoniously left Marlian Music. Prior to his death, Mohbad made a live video where he stated that if he dies, Nigerians should hold Naira Marley and Marlian Music responsible.
Since the death of Mohbad, Nigerians have been calling for the head of Naira Marley who has been away from the country.
He has finally returned to the country and turned himself in. Naira Marley took to X and wrote;
I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, also confirmed on X that Naira Marley is back in the country and is now in Police custody.
