Anthony Joshua just humiliated Cameroonian & French professional mixed martial artist and professional boxer, Francis Ngannou on Saturday morning, March 9, after he knocked him out in the second round in Francis Ngannou’s second professional boxing match.
Francis Ngannou made a very impressive boxing debut on the 28th of October, 2023 when he faced undefeated WBC champion Tyson Fury, a fight where he put up a remarkable performance that eventually led to him $20 million payday fight with Anthony Joshua.
Ngannou started promisingly, landing his long left hook but a switch to southpaw perhaps showed a touch of overconfidence and Joshua detonated a huge right hand to send him crashing to the canvas towards the end of round one. Before the referee could count to ten, Ngannou stood up.

Anthony Joshua wrapped up the fight in the second round, he started by hitting Ngannou with his backhand after jabbing to body and head. The former UFC heavyweight champion managed to get up on his feet only to be sent back down permanently by a single, right hand from Anthony Joshua that led to the end of the fight with Anthony Joshua emerging as the winner.

At the end of the fight, Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou shook hands and Anthony Joshua encouraged him not to leave boxing as there’s still a great future for him in boxing.
