Nigerian singer Mish, the “Akwa Ibom Ayaya” singer is dead

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Michael Aniekeme Meshach, popularly known as Mish, died on the 14th of February, 2024.

The death of the 42-year-old singer was confirmed by a close family member on Thursday, February 15, and the singer died in Abuja after a brief illness.

Mish came into the limelight in 2011 when he released the hit song Akwa Ibom Ayaiya (I Want To Go Home) and the song was a nationwide hit record.

Mish is survived by his wife and two children and he hailed from Obot Okoh Mbiaobong in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
