Timaya shares his struggle with drugs and how it made him lose money, contracts & business deals and how he overcame it (Video)
Veteran Nigerian singer and songwriter, Timaya just released a new song ‘Dey Your Dey’ and he is currently visiting media houses to promote the new record.
He stopped by at The Beat 99.9 FM studio where he granted an interview and during the interview, the singer talked about his struggle with drugs.
Timaya stated that it all started during the lockdown when he visited a couple of young guys and they were extremely happy and he wondered why he who is the boss isn’t even as happy as they were. They told him it was molly and he decided to try it out. What was supposed to be just a trial was what cost him so much in the end. He developed an addiction for the drug and couldn’t go by a day without taking it. This affected his career and other areas of his life.
